But it wasn’t a straight line or a sudden decision to where I am. Everyone has their own unique story that’s filled with twists and turns and highs and lows. I’m no different. It’s a journey, I believe, for most. I believe each of us are unique with our own special potential and possibilities within, waiting to be discovered that transform us into realizing our success. A path of learning, experiences and then realizations about one’s self leading to a transformational destination.
Humble Beginnings
I grew up, by some people’s standards, as a poor country boy on a farm. I remember wearing worn-out, old blue jeans, and not because it was in fashion back then; and a family meal were all we had was bread and gravy to eat and water to drink. But I didn’t know I was poor, even now I look back upon it as an enriching experience with my growing up in the open countryside free to discover and enjoy the trails, and more importantly, because of the values instilled in me by family, elders and hard work of farm life— such values as integrity, consistency, faith and persistency to name a few.
Finding Success
This life foundation provided me with attitudes and desires to help others and be successful in life. It began to be realized as I left the farm and worked my way through college, and in spiritual and professional experience capabilities were identified, even sometimes by acci
dent or introspection, and with hard work, following instincts, and continued training, with faith and belief success was nurtured.
My journey from humble beginnings to professional success was realized as I was fortunate to travel the world and work with great individuals and teams. It brought me to great clients were I supported entrepreneurs in launching businesses, coached individuals and teams in achieving goals, and assisted Fortune 500 companies in transforming businesses. This led to the entrepreneurial founding of my own companies and practices as a coach/consultant, author and speaker enabling others success in reaching life, professional, or business goals that transform their future.
Rediscovery and Refocus
Then I went from coach to crisis victim. I vividly remember my doctor lifting his eyes from the report and pushing from his desk. Turning to me and telling me he was sorry but that my report revealed some serious concerns. I remember thinking that this is something that happens to someone else, not me, but here it was and I needed help. Fortunately, we were able to deal with it effectively through enabling the transforming power of the body and the Spirit.
This caused me to be a rediscovering soul of those things that I believe and inspire me. I realized even more forcefully what is truly important in life. How we only have a certain amount of time and to not put off important goals, and to invest in ourselves and others now. I purposed to refocus on assisting others to realizing success in reaching their goals.
Helping Others Find Success
As a fellow traveler on a transformational journey, I know it’s not easy and understand there are issues and challenges that face people. A fact I know is that for a life, team, or enterprise to be transformed there must be enablers that are catalyst for lasting change. One of the most significant is an experienced coach with proven methods that knows what it takes to succeed. Through the years of my journey, I’ve been humbled by the tremendous results achieved by individuals and teams I’ve had the opportunity to lead and I know that people can exceed their expectations when they are motivated and with the proper knowledge, planning and execution.
